Chapter 223
Felix had not met any chief leaders since taking over Dragon Alliance, so this was a first. It seemed that after the recent gathering of all chiefs, someone had finally grown restless.
"Let's set it for tonight," Felix replied to Vivian's call.
Vivian hesitated before asking, "Mr. Zeller, could I meet you in person?"
"Sure," Felix agreed.
Within 20 minutes, Vivian arrived. Felix had already sent Jack away, knowing his friend would have teased him endlessly about Vivian's beauty.
"What's the matter? Why do you need to talk about it in person?" Felix asked.
Vivian sat across from him, her eyes blazing with anger. "Mr. Zeller, Mr. Jones is out of line! I can't believe he's demanding that you go to him!"
So, it appeared that Yale Jones was the chief leader who had come to town.
Felix frowned. "He told you that himself?"
Vivian nodded. "Yes, and he insisted even after knowing your status as the Dragon Lord."
Vivian was fuming. Ever since joining Dragon Alliance, she had heard countless stories about Felix's feats, and he was practically her role model. Especially after Felix had effortlessly summoned lightning to strike down Gregory-it was a display of power she would never forget.
For Yale to act so arrogantly in front of Felix was infuriating. She snapped, "He must be trying to rebel!"
Felix wiped his mouth and stood up. "If he wants to see me, why not? I'm sure Mr. Jones will have a reasonable explanation."
No organization would tolerate a second-in-command summoning the leader to pay respects-it was practically asking for trouble. Felix was only human, and this behavior naturally did not sit well with him, either.
Later, Felix and Vivian arrived at the entrance to the presidential suite of a hotel in Avesburgh. When he saw Belle standing guard, Felix quickly understood what was happening.
Belle was unaware of Vivian's identity and simply assumed she was someone who had a good relationship with Felix from Dragon Alliance. She blocked Vivian's path and stated, Wait outside. Only he goes in."

Chapter 223
As Vivian was about to protest, Felix intervened, "Stay here."
Before entering, Felix suddenly remembered the letter Vivian had given him earlier. He showed it to Belle. "Belle, are you familiar with this letter?"
A flicker of surprise crossed Belle's eyes before she mocked, "Felix, do you think you have the right to question me? How funny!"
Felix said nothing more, crushing the paper to dust in his hand. His suspicions about Belle were not unfounded. After all, the only people who could access that kind of detailed information were likely linked to Xena. Adding in the motive for revenge, Belle's involvement seemed all but confirmed. Inside, he found Xena sitting in the room. Upon seeing him, she immediately said, "I told you I'd have you removed from Dragon Alliance by sunset. Did you think I was joking?"
Felix smiled. "Lady Summers, you've gone to great lengths for a nobody like me. Even bringing in Mr. Jones. Impressive! I imagine it cost you quite a bit."
Xena bristled at his words. Indeed, calling in a Dragon Alliance chief leader had come at a steep price. She had used up a major favor she had been saving for her future bid to become a warlord, all because of Felix.
